The Off-Road Squad is comprised of racers who prefer to focus on racing in the dirt, specifically Mountain Bike racing and Cyclocross. We have 3 designated Off-Road racers, but many of our teammates in the Sponsored, Women’s and Open Squads join us in racing Off-Road throughout the year.

The mission of the Off-Road Squad is to encourage and develop new Mountain Bike and Cyclocross racers across the Kentuckiana area while allowing racing at the higher categories for our more experienced riders.  We exist to teach new racers the specific skills and techniques required to successfully race off the pavement while providing support to those prepared to race at more advanced levels of racing.

During the 2008 season, the Off-Road Squad delivered great results with top-3 finishes in our respective age-group/categories at many of the races we attended. Our racers also were seen at National Championship events for Mountain Bike Cross Country, Mountain Bike Endurance, and Cyclocross.   

For 2009 we plan to continue our presence at the local and regional Mountain Bike races with plans to increase participation by our non-squad Teammates. For the Cyclocross season we will continue to lead weekly developmental training rides to bring new racers into the sport while working to deliver outstanding results in the Masters, Cat3 and Cat 4 categories. 

We currently have 3 racers designated as members of the Off-Road squad, with our numbers supplemented by members of the Cat3, Open and Women’s Squads when they choose to race off-road as well.
